The Day 1 finals kick off on Saturday at 8:30 p.m ET.
Summer McIntoshĀ will have a chance to break the world record in the women’s 400-metre freestyle (3:55.38)Ā after clockingĀ the fastest preliminary time of the day (4:10.04).
Competition runs fromĀ June 7-12 atĀ the Saanich Commonwealth Place pool, with preliminary heats beginning at 12:30 p.m. ET and finals at 8:30 p.m. ET each day.
The national trials will determine who represents Canada at theĀ world championships in Singapore, whichĀ will be held fromĀ July 27-Aug. 3.
