British TV legend Kim Woodburn has passed away aged 83 after battling a short illness.
The TV personality gained fame for her hit series How Clean is Your House, where she starred alongside Aggie MacKenzie.

The “Queen of Clean” as she was known, passed yesterday, a representative for the late star told The Sun.
“It is with immense sadness that we let you know our beloved Kim Woodburn passed away yesterday following a short illness,” they said.
“Kim was an incredibly kind, caring, charismatic and strong person. Her husband Peter is heartbroken at the loss of his soulmate.

“We are so proud of the amazing things Kim achieved in her life and career.
“We kindly ask that Kim’s husband and close friends are given the time and privacy they need to grieve. We will not be releasing any further details.”
The TV star worked as a cleaner for a family in Kent when Channel 4, the creators of How Clean is Your House, contacted a cleaning company looking for “a really good cleaner with quite a funny temperament for a new series”.

She was paired with the Scottish TV personality for the show, which led to her notoriety, and her “funny temperament” helped her spread her talent to other reality shows.
Woodburn was known for her appearances on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here in 2009 and Celebrity Big Brother in 2017.
She also appeared regularly on talk shows Loose Women and This Morning.

As of late, the TV star had been fulfilling personalised video message requests from fans, with her last video message to them being uploaded in February.
In March she uploaded a photo of a piece of paper reading, “We regret to tell you that Kim is unable to record any further videos for the foreseeable future due to a health problem”
“Kim sends her love to you all,” it said.

The caption added, “No more videos for now, my loves, I need to get better!”
The post sparked concern from fans who asked for updates and hoped she was filming other projects.
Her fans have taken to the comment section of this last post to share their condolences.

“RIP KIM..IM DEVASTATED 💔..YOU WERE A LEGEND…IM SO SORRY…REST EASY KIM,” one said.
“I’m literally shaking. Our beautiful Kim Woodburn. Fly high my dorlin, her impact on Twitter and British pop culture especially should be studied. A British legend,” another wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
Her celebrity friends also paid tribute.
“My gorgeous, hilarious and truly outrageous friend Kim Woodburn has died after a short illness,” British journalist Dan Wootton said.
“Genuinely THE favourite guest on every show I have ever been a part of. No one burst the bubble of prissy celebrities in such glorious fashion. Forever the queen of clean!”
Woodburn is survived by her husband, Peter.
