Harry Potter star Rupert Grint has welcomed a second child with long-term partner Georgia Groome.
The actor, who portrayed Ron Weasley in the widely popular fantasy franchise, confirmed the news with a post on Instagram.
“‘Secret Child Slightly Revealed’,” he captioned the post.

“Introducing Goldie G. Grint. A 10/10 baby (so far),” he continued before thanking their obstetrician Alex Digisu for “always delivering”.
Grint and his partner, who is famed for starring in the 2008 teen drama Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging, are both notoriously private and kept their second pregnancy under wraps.
Friends and fans were quick to share their excitement and congratulations in the comment section with many sharing Harry Potter references.
”ANOTHER WEASLEY,” one wrote.

“Red hair and a hand-me-down robe? You must be a Weasley” wrote another.
Yet another shared, “10 points to Gryffindor”.
The new arrival comes almost five years after Grint and Groome welcomed their first child, Wednesday, in May 2020.
“Rupert Grint and Georgia Groome are delighted to confirm the birth of their baby girl,” said publicist Clair Dobbs in the statement at the time.
“We would please ask that you respect their privacy at this very special time.”
At the time they hadn’t disclosed the name of their firstborn daughter, that came months later.

In November 2020, Grint launched his own Instagram account and took the opportunity to share their daughter’s name with the world.
“Hey Instagram….only 10 years late, but here I am. Grint on the Gram!” he wrote.
“Here to introduce you all to Wednesday G. Grint. Stay safe, Rupert.”
The post included a selfie that Grint had taken with daughter Wednesday resting on his chest.

In the time since, Grint has only posted one other photo of Wednesday. A photo posted of the toddler sitting in a mini directors chair, facing away from the camera, when she was around 18 months old.
It is expected that the family will continue to keep their personal lives private as they navigate their new family of four.
Grint and Groome have been together for more than two decades.

The couple have worked hard to keep their relationship and family out of the public eye, however Grint has spoken briefly about their relationship in the past.
“It’s a very natural thing – we’re just best friends. We’re kind of the same person; we think the same way,” he told Glamour in 2021.
“That’s always made it work – that’s why it’s lasted. It’s hard to pinpoint exactly what it is, but it works and it’s great.
