JoJo Siwa has addressed her split from Aussie star Kath Ebbs for the first time amid her “soulmate friendship” with Celebrity Big Brother UK housemate, Chris Hughes.
Before going on the reality show, Siwa, 21, was in a relationship with queer Aussie star, Ebbs. However, in a social media video posted over the weekend, Ebbs claimed Siwa “dumped” them at the wrap party.
Meanwhile, the Dance Moms alum has been making headlines over the last couple of weeks for her close bond in the Big Brother house with Love Island UK star Hughes, 32.

Now, in her first joint TV interview with Hughes, Siwa has addressed Ebbs’ claims she ended their four-month romance after realising in the house the Aussie wasn’t the person she “wanted to spend the foreseeable [future with].”
“I’ll be honest, that was not a plan,” Siwa said on the UK chat show This Morning.
“That was not an intention, that was not supposed to happen like that.”
Siwa claimed she was initially told Ebbs didn’t want to attend the wrap party, however the Aussie changed their mind an hour into the event.

“And so I was genuinely just going to have a conversation before and then it just led to another,” she said, recalling Ebbs “straight up asked me if I was happy and I said, ‘No.'”
The star then set the record straight on her relationship status with Hughes, with the Love Island star labelling their bond as a “soulmate friendship”.

“Obviously we’re close. Obviously we’re tight,” Siwa said.
Hughes chimed in that it was “hard to explain”.
“It’s just a really strong bond between two people, which is just a strong friendship. And I think you can have, like, a soulmate friendship,” he said.

Siwa confirmed their relationship is “platonic”.
“We have a lot of fun together. Life is life,” she said.
“I don’t know any future of anything. But I’m really grateful for our dynamic that we have and our bond that we have. And whatever life does, life will do.”
