Opening Instagram to find a message from Harry Styles is the stuff of dreams for millions of people – and it’s just become a reality for one fan.
Jess (@jesshehehe123) had the good fortune of running into the As It Was singer during a holiday in Rome back in March, during a bike ride with her boyfriend.
Styles not only posed for a selfie with the couple, but took a photo of them on his digital camera, promising to send it to them via Instagram.

It might have taken a couple of months, but the singer has now come good on his word.
Jess shared the message and photo on TikTok, admitting receiving a message request from one of the world’s most famous people was “ridiculous”.
“As promised, hope you guys had a great trip. H,” Styles’ message read.

“Harry was genuinely lovely,” Jess told People of their Italian encounter.
In a response to a comment on her video asking how she reacted after opening the message, she said she “screamed the house down”.

Styles has previously made headlines for sweet fan encounters, both in public and during his shows.
At his concerts, he often interacts with fans holding up signs, and even helped one couple confirm the gender of their baby at one of his shows in Sydney in 2023.

The singer has been lying relatively low since the end of his two-year Love on Tour concert run, which saw him perform 169 shows around the world.
In November, he attended the funeral of One Direction bandmate Liam Payne, joined by the three other members of the band.
