Three years ago, her name was everywhere as countless people closely followed her legal trial against her ex-husband Johnny Depp.
But these days we rarely hear about Amber Heard.
The actress has retreated from the spotlight since settling a highly publicised defamation lawsuit brought against her by Depp and is living a quieter life thousands of kilometres away from Hollywood.

Amber Heard and Johnny Depp’s legal trial
After a six week trial that took place between April and June 2022, the jury’s verdict fell mostly in favour of Depp.
Heard went onto make an appeal but later dropped it confirming in December that same year that she and Depp had settled the case “after a great deal of deliberation”.
It was an outcome that left Heard “heartbroken”.
“I defended my truth and in doing so my life as I knew it was destroyed,” she wrote in a social media post confirming the settlement.

What is Amber Heard doing now?
In the year that followed, Heard promoted her newest films In The Fire and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom making only a few press appearances for each.
She has since left Hollywood choosing to relocate to Madrid, Spain, in search of privacy after the highly controversial trial.

The actress reportedly made the move to the Spanish capital with her first-born daughter Oonagh Paige in the months following the trial.
In a video circulating TikTok at the time, Heard answered questions from local reporters in Spanish, saying, “I love Spain so much” and “I love living here”, per People.

Family Life
Almost three years on, Heard remains in Spain and has been leaning into family life.
She has been raising her daughter Oonagh in the European country in that time and has since welcomed two new children – completing her “dream family”.
The actress today announced that she has welcomed twins – a daughter named Agnes and a son named Ocean.
“When I had my first baby girl Oonagh four years ago, my world changed forever. I thought I couldn’t possibly burst with more joy. Well, now I am bursting times three!!!” she wrote in a post on Instagram.

Is Amber Heard in a relationship?
Heard is reportedly single and has chosen to raise her family as a single mother.
She reflected on raising her children solo in her recent Instagram post, writing, “becoming a mother by myself and on my own terms despite my own fertility challenges has been the most humbling experience of my life”.
“I am eternally grateful that I was able to choose this responsibly and thoughtfully,” she added.
