Barbra Streisand is not happy about her Meet The Fockers salary and says it would take a considerable pay check to convince her to star in the franchise’s fourth film.
In conversation with Variety’s Just for Variety podcast, the star claimed that she was paid less than her co-stars for her roles in the film franchise.
The revelation came after the podcast host Marc Malkin asked Streisand if she would be returning to her role for the upcoming fourth installment of the film franchise.

”Oh my God. They’d have to pay me a lot of money because I didn’t get paid what the other people got paid and so I’m p—ed off,” she said.
“I was in the time when women were getting paid less than the men.
“The head of Universal was Ron Meyer at the time, and he actually sent me a bonus check. It was very sweet.”

Now, a fourth Meet the Parents film is on its way with Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro set to return to their roles.
Ariana Grande, who featured on Streisand’s upcoming album, is also expected to star in the new film – news that was a surprise to the EGOT recipient.
“You’re kidding,” Streisand exclaimed as Malkin revealed Grande’s role in the new film.

The singer and actress penned her thoughts on it chapter 56 of her 2023 memoir My Name Is Barbra, per an excerpt obtained by People.
“On a side note, this was the first time I felt the effect of Hollywood’s unequal pay scale for men and women,” she wrote, appearing to allude to her role in the Meet The Parents franchise.
“I didn’t ask what the other actors were making, but I was definitely hurt when I found out that Dustin was getting three times as much as me, plus a tiny percentage, which is significant on a movie that made US$520 million.
“I was given some excuse about how I had been the last to sign, but the only thing that made me feel better was when my dear friend Ron Meyer, who was the head of Universal, gave me a bonus… the first and only time I ever got one. I guess he, too, thought it was unfair.”

“Oh, God. I doubt it,” she said in response.
But all hope isn’t lost.
“But there’s a little part of me that may consider that,” she continued.
“But the other part of me goes, why?”
