Elections Canada has riding-by-riding advance voter data
Hi there, I’m a senior writer on the national desk. Elections Canada has updated its advance polling data with preliminary numbers for how many registered voters cast early ballots in each riding. We’re still missing broader data around the total number of registered voters and changes in population since the last election, but there are a few tidbits to parse out.
Monday, April 21, was the busiest day for advance voting out of the four days when advance polls were open.
Another standout fact: Ontario’s Carleton riding, where Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre is running for an eighth term, had the highest number of advance voters with around 43,300 ballots cast. Nepean, Liberal Leader Mark Carney’s riding right next door, came in at No. 5 with a little more than 32,600.
