Coldplay kiss cam saga: Kristin Cabot set to headline new ‘taking back the narrative’ crisis conference

HR executive Kristin Cabot‘s next move might surprise you.

The former Astronomer staffer’s name was thrown into international headlines in July last year, thanks to the Coldplay ‘kiss cam’ saga.

Now, Cabot is headlining PR Week’s 2026 Crisis Comms Conference alongside journalist and comms specialist Dini von Mueffling.

Last year, Cabot and Astronomer’s then-CEO Andy Byron were seen on the jumbotron at Coldplay’s Boston concert, standing in an embrace before quickly parting ways as the camera focused on them.

The usual move forced frontman Chris Martin to make a cheeky quip about the pair in front of thousands.

“Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy,” he joked.

Now, Cabot will front the PR Week crisis conference on April 16, and her spot is titled, “Kristin Cabot: Taking Back the Narrative.”

“A masterclass in narrative reclamation. We’ve all seen the headlines, but we rarely see the war room,” a post from the company read.

“Kristin Cabot’s life ‘blew up’ last July after a fleeting moment at a Coldplay concert became a global obsession. This isn’t just a story; it’s a technical use case in survival.”

Tickets don’t come cheap, either, with an individual ticket costing $US875, approximately $1,256.

While Byron and Cabot both resigned from their roles at Astronomer in September, a source shot down allegations of an ”affair” between the colleagues to People.

“Kristin and Andy [Byron] had an excellent working relationship, a great friendship. There was no affair,” the unnamed person was quoted as saying.

Cabot’s former husband Andrew Cabot also issued a statement to People and clarified the situation after The Daily Mail reported his wife had filed for divorce, per legal documents.

The statement, shared by a spokeswoman of the Privateer Rum CEO, revealed the Cabots had split “privately and amicably” weeks before the kiss cam mishap.

“Their decision to divorce was already underway prior to that evening,” it said in part.

In a final twist, Cabot broke her silence on December 18, telling the New York Times it was a “bad decision” to cozy up to her colleague Byron at a gig.

”I made a bad decision and had a couple of High Noons and danced and acted inappropriately with my boss,” Cabot told The New York Times.

“And it’s not nothing. I took accountability and I gave up my career for that. That’s the price I chose to pay.”
