Critics Choice Awards 2026: Paul W. Downs and Megan Stalter replicate Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner’s neon orange look

The sound of camera shutters filled the space at the Marty Supreme Los Angeles premiere back in December when the film’s star, Timothée Chalamet, and his partner, Kylie Jenner, stepped onto the red carpet.

The duo made headlines for their head-turning fluorescent orange outfits, a not-so-subtle nod to Chalamet’s wild marketing tactics.

We thought the moment had just been a blip in pop culture history, but the 2026 Critics Choice Awards red carpet has shown us that it is so much more.

Hacks stars Paul W. Downs and Megan Stalter have walked the red carpet at the awards ceremony in outfits clearly meant to replicate those of Chalamet and Jenner.

Downs stepped out in an almost identical suit with a black purse shaped like a ping pong paddle slung over his shoulder.

Meanwhile, Stalter nearly perfectly replicated Jenner’s look in a cut-out dress, silver cross jewellery, and a set of killer orange nails.

The pair managed to replicate the look to the finest of details, Downs wearing a chunky silver ring on the middle finger of his right hand, and Stalter copying Jenner’s iconic makeup look.

But there’s one question we can’t stop asking: how did the duo manage to pull it off?

The outfits Chalamet and Jenner wore to the Marty Supreme premiere were custom-made by Chrome Hearts, sourced by Chalamet’s stylist, Taylor McNeill.

So, it’s not exactly like Downs and Stalter could have just purchased the same outfits, which leaves us to think some serious strings must have been pulled in the name of the bit.

Now, if you’re wondering where the idea for Chalamet and Jenner’s neon looks came from in the first place, let us briefly explain.

Basically, Chalamet has employed some wild marketing tactics for the film, one of which was an 18-minute mock Zoom call with the Marty Supreme marketing team posted to Instagram.

In the video, Chalamet pitched the idea that, like Barbie, the film needed a signature colour.

Of course, he suggested what is now known as ‘Marty Supreme orange’.

At the time, it all seemed like a bit of a joke, but Downs and Stalter’s red carpet looks have proved that the iconic looks will be forever cemented in the pop culture hall of fame.
