Dua Lipa has kicked off her Australia tour with a bang.
The One Kiss singer, 29, took the Rod Laver Arena stage in Melbourne overnight with a special surprise for those lucky enough to attend the first of five sold-out shows in the city.
Not only were Lipa’s fans treated to her regular Radical Optimism Tour setlist, but they were also privy to a cover not performed by Lipa previously during her Asian leg.

The British-born Albanian pop star put a twist on her usual repertoire, covering AC/DC’s 1979 classic Highway to Hell.
In videos shared to X (formerly Twitter), Lipa effortlessly soars over the famous high notes in the Australian band’s iconic hit, prompting her fans to ask for a rock album from the songstress.
“dua lipa covered highway to hell tonight in melbourne! rock album next please 🙏,” one fan wrote on the Elon Musk-owned platform.

Lipa is scheduled to stay in Australia for two weeks, performing her first of three sold-out Sydney shows at Qudos Bank Arena on March 26.
The Grammy-winning artist then jets over to New Zealand for two sold-out shows in Auckland in early April, before hitting Europe and the United States.
The New Rules singer, who is rumoured to be engaged to actor Callum Turner, 35, first announced two shows only in Australia – one in Melbourne and one in Sydney – and a single New Zealand show, before adding more to her packed schedule due to demand.

Lipa may be performing a total of eight shows in Australia this time, but it’s a cutback from her last tour in terms of cities covered.
She brought her four-act Future Nostalgia Tour to Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth in November 2022, performing seven shows in total.
It generated roughly $9.5 million in revenue for Lipa.
