Glen Powell has spoken about his former co-star Sydney Sweeney attending his sister’s wedding over the weekend, amid rumours of a romance between the pair.
The Anyone But You co-stars were linked at the time of promoting the 2023 rom-com, but always denied there was anything more than a friendship, with Sweeney engaged to Jonathan Davino.
It’s been reported Sweeney and Davino recently called off their wedding and the actress was spotted on the red carpet without her engagement ring, though neither have confirmed the split.

When Powell appeared on US morning TV show Jenna & Friends, host Jenna Bush Hager asked about his sister Leslie’s wedding and if he was surprised by the commotion Sweeney’s presence caused.
“Timing is everything in this world, isn’t it? She and Syd are obviously great friends and it was a hell of a wedding,” Powell told Hager and guest co-host Olivia Munn.
Powell revealed he was the MC of the reception and a groomsman, labelling it “such a fun, rowdy wedding”.
“The Powells know how to crank it up,” he said.

Glen’s mum, Cyndy Powell, also spoke out about Sweeney’s attendance at Leslie’s wedding and dismissed romance rumours.
“They’re definitely not together,” she said in an interview with Daily Mail.
“They’ve been friends for so long. They’ve known each other for so long and they’ve both been single and together and with other people,” she added.
When hosting Saturday Night Live in March 2024, Sweeney jokingly addressed rumours she’d cheated on Davino with Powell while making Anyone But You.
“That’s obviously not true,” she said in her opening monologue.
“Me and my fiancé produced the movie together and he was there the entire shoot and I want everyone to know he’s the man of my dreams and we’re still together.
“He even came here tonight to support me,” she added, before the camera showed Powell grinning in the front row of the audience.
“That’s not my fiancé – he’s in my dressing room!”
