Things didn’t go exactly as planned during Katy Perry‘s most recent Sydney show.
Perry, 40, took to the stage at Qudos Bank Arena on Monday night to perform her well-rehearsed Lifetimes tour, but things took a turn when one eager fan decided to crash the stage.
But like the pro she is, Perry handled it all with grace.

Fan videos posted online show that while performing her hit 2008 single Hot N Cold, Perry was ambushed by a fan who somehow managed to get on the stage.

The fan ran up to Perry and wrapped their arm around her.
As the singer turned to see what was happening, she froze from shock.
Quickly realising what was going on, Perry spun away and kept singing the lyrics as the fan began to do the floss dance move for the crowd before security rushed on to the stage to remove them.
But, the fan wasn’t going down without a fight.
As several security guards grappled with them, the rogue dancer attempted to wrestle their way out, as Perry said to the shocked fans in the audience, “there’s never going to be another show like it, so just enjoy it, Sydney!”
She continued to sing as the fan was dragged off stage.

Then, right before hitting the chorus, Perry yelled into the microphone, “what the hell is going on?!”
An angle shared by a fan with a view of side-stage shows that it took four security guards to remove the fan from the venue, with another two members of the team following close behind.
Thankfully though, everyone including Perry is okay, and we can only hope that the popstar doesn’t hold a grudge against all of Australia for this one.
