She is known to many as the world renowned Hollywood actress but to Urban, she is so much more than that – which was evident with the affectionate way he addressed her in his speech.
“I want to thank the ACM Academy for this and my wife, Nicole Mary, who’s here tonight,” he said, referring to his wife by her first and second name.
“I love you, baby girl,” he continued, perhaps making a subtle reference to Kidman’s recent film Babygirl.

As he spoke, the camera turned to Kidman who beamed at her husband’s shout out. She smiled and held her hands to her heart as the audience cheered along.
Urban then continued to shout out their two daughters who were not present at the Awards night.
”And our girls Sunny and Faith watching from home tonight – I love you both too,” he said.

After addressing his family, Urban continued to thank his ”massive team” for their help in achieving the award.
“I have a massive team that I couldn’t possibly thank by name but I want to thank my team for working so insanely hard behind the scenes because there’s no such thing as a self-made man,” he said.
“I want to thank my road band and my road family and I want to say a special thanks to all the fans who have been coming out to see us play, I really appreciate it.”

Before he was presented with the award, musicians Megan Moroney and Chris Stapleton performed their own renditions of Urban’s songs Stupid Boy and Blue Ain’t Your Colour in honour of the award-winning artist.
As they performed, Urban was spotted in the audience singing along to his own famous tracks with Kidman by his side.
Urban then took to the stage as the musical duo Brothers Osborne concluded the brief tribute by performing his song Where The Blacktop Ends.
As their performance came to an end, Urban took to the stage with a guitar to complete the song with the duo before going on to accept his award.
