Australian radio powerhouses Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson have spoken out about their infamous Golden Globes red carpet ban.
The duo claimed back in 2021 that they’d been banned from the awards ceremony for five years after “accidentally” ending up on the red carpet.
Speaking about what happened on the Kyle & Jackie O Show, the pair shared different versions of events of the incident.

Sandilands, 54, revealed that the duo walked straight onto the red carpet of the glittery awards show back in 2010 with “confidence”.
“We just walked up, we moved the rope and just walked straight through,” he admitted.
”Onto the red carpet, mind you,” Henderson added. “And there’s Angelina Jolie, Courtney Cox…”
“Yeah that was a mistake,” Sandilands admitted.

Newsreader Brooklyn Ross was audibly shocked, saying: “You guys were on the actual carpet?”
Henderson recalled thinking, “When is someone going to kick us off this red carpet? This is so bizarre, no one’s stopping us”.
The pair revealed that they were on the red carpet for a good “40 minutes” before they were “kicked off”.

Henderson recalls that once they were booted off, they were not popular among those at the event.
”When we did get kicked off, boy did we get ostracised. We were banned” Henderson said.

Jackie O’ Henderson’s career in photos
The radio hosts first opened up about the ordeal on air back in 2021, but said things played out a little differently.
Back then, they revealed that they were accidentally invited onto the red carpet after being mistaken for A-list celebrities.
“We were supposed to go to the media pit, but we looked that good that day and the woman goes, ‘Oh, come with me,’ rushed us through a door, pushed us out and then all of a sudden we’re there next to Entertainment Tonight,” Sandilands explained.
“We’re on the red carpet. There’s Jennifer Aniston. Who else was there? There was everyone.”
The duo only had media passes and it wasn’t long before event organisers realised they were in the wrong spot.
”You’re banned! You’re banned forever,” Sandilands remembered being told.
“We were banned for five years,” Sandilands said, with Henderson admitting she told Sandilands just to “run with it” when they were first led on to the carpet.
