Miley originally planned to support the album’s “unique visual experience” with a series of live performances in unique venues, such as forests and “at the pyramids,” with the star explaining that she wanted to perform in “intimate places that are filled with beauty.”
But she had a change of heart following a conversation with an unlikely advisor who highlighted how impractical this concept would be. The advisor in question? 82-year-old Harrison Ford.
Miley ran into the actor at a Disney Legend event that was hosted in her honor last year, and she told him about her plan to perform in unconventional spaces that had the kind of beauty “you can’t find in a stadium,” giving an example of “a cathedral in the middle of the forest.” In fact, the singer went so far as to show Harrison a PDF file that further highlighted her plans, but she did not get the response that she expected.
“He goes: ‘You really want to go and set up in a forest? And do what?’ He’s like: ‘You’re going to bring a crew?’ He’s like: ‘Looks expensive,’” Miley recalled, going on to add that this shifted her entire perspective on the venture.
“I came back to the trailer, I was like: ‘Guys, we’re not performing in the forest anymore, Harrison Ford made a lot of sense,’” she went on, with the wording of Miley’s revelation tickling people when her quote circulated on X on Wednesday evening.
And some were left mad that Harrison had cost us all a Miley forest tour. One popular tweet reads: “miley was about to give us the most unhinged, iconic tour of all time and he said no 😭”
