Pedro Pascal lookalike contest winner George Gountas, a lighting designer at The Daily Show, speaks in new interview

For years, Hollywood heartthrob Pedro Pascal has been the crush of many, and fans will be pleased to hear there’s now two of them – well, sort of.

New Yorker and The Daily Show lighting designer George Gountas, 42, has won a Pedro Pascal lookalike contest held in the Big Apple, and $US50 (approximately $76) alongside free burritos for a year.

“I look more like him than I look like my own brother,” Gountas told The Hollywood Reporter following the win at the event on Sunday.

Gountas was supported on the day by his wife and kids and said the competition was packed.

He said he just signed up on the spot to take part in the contest.

“And as we’re getting closer, there’s 1000 people in the street,” he recalled.

Gountas spoke about how the comparisons to actor Pascal, 50, started when the star first starred on Game of Thrones.

He said they look so alike that when Pascal’s character died on the show, Gountas’ wife couldn’t watch the scene.

“She’s like, ‘I can’t watch this,'” he told the publication.

“I feel like the guy is crushing your head.”
