Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman are reprising those roles in a sequel to their 1998 hit film, Practical Magic.
Warner Bros confirmed Sally and Gillian Owens’ return in a video posted to social media on Tuesday (Wednesday AEST).
“Tooth of wolf and morning dew,” Kidman can be heard saying in the video, before Bullock adds, “Something old and something new”.

In the original movie, based on a book of the same name by Alice Hoffman, Kidman and Bullock play sisters who are born into a magical family and raised by their aunts.
The sisters lean into their legacy of witchcraft to battle evil.
The movie will mark Bullock’s big screen return after taking some time off following the death of her partner Bryan Randall. He died in 2023, at the age of 57, after a three-year battle with ALS.
Bullock’s last movie was the 2022 romantic comedy The Lost City with Channing Tatum.
Kidman recently hinted the sequel was going ahead after several unsuccessful attempts in the early 2000s failed to get the film off the ground.
“Moving ahead rapidly,” the Aussie actress said in February, when asked about the project.
Asked about the script, Kidman told Variety‘s Marc Malkin “you have to ask Sandy”, before saying “we aren’t doing it yet”.
Last year, Kidman let slip about the sequel while promoting her movie A Family Affair.

“Yes I will be in it. And Sandy will be in it. And that’s that,” she told People magazine.
“There’s a lot more to tell which is why we go, ‘OK, this is kind of interesting now to be able to do this.’ [We] found a way in.”
