TV star Clea Shearer has revealed she was forced to have emergency surgery and is recovering after having her right breast implant removed.
The Get Organised with the Home Edit host, 43, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2022 and was reportedly given the all-clear in November that year.
Shearer shared a picture of herself from hospital on Wednesday (Tuesday in the US), saying the surgery was “traumatising” and that she’s in a lot of pain.

The reality star had a double mastectomy back in 2022.
“This is a difficult post to write because this is not the outcome I envisioned for myself,” she wrote in her emotional post.
“I’m currently recovering at the hospital after an emergency surgery that I prayed I wouldn’t need.
“My double mastectomy was exactly 3 years ago (April 2022), and for the last couple of years, I’ve battled issues and complications with my right breast.

“I have fought and fought and fought to salvage what I could over the course of 8 surgeries. And today I lost the war.”
Shearer said she had “no choice” but to remove her implant and said just days prior to surgery her “incision was leaking heavily”.
“I had no choice but to completely remove my right implant which means I’m right back to a post mastectomy state,” she continued.

“I am flat on one side and will need a prosthetic. After a 3 year journey, I can’t quite put into words how traumatising this is for me.
“So here I am post surgery, bandaged to high heaven, drains inserted, and in a lot of pain. I’ve been warned that this will be significantly worse than my previous surgeries, and I can already tell that’s true.”
Shearer said she feels like she’s “right back at square one” thanks to the surgery, but thanked her followers for their support throughout her journey.

“Also different from my previous surgeries: I’m devastated and feel a sense of anger. I’ve fought so hard over the years and now I’m right back at square one.”
In November, she shared a picture of herself giving a thumb’s up from her hospital bed as she underwent her seventh surgery since her diagnosis.
“I really believe this is my final reconstruction surgery, which makes my SEVENTH surgery since being diagnosed with breast cancer,” she wrote at the time.
“I’m hoping and praying that this will be it (at least for a long while)! Fingers crossed! 🤞🏼”
She had her ovaries and fallopian tubes removed amid her health journey.
It’s been reported her latest surgery was her ninth surgery.
